helping teh with her birthday.teh's birthday was done in a rush. her mum gave the 'okay' nod for her to have a party just 1 week before the D-day, which is next tuesday. so this week i'm super busy helping her planning her birthday. i offered her to do the invitation, shoot the presweet photo, and i'm gonna be the greeter on the party. the presweet photo was okay, though not as good as those skilled photographer as i'm just starting out. at least we came up with some good shots. the shoot was done in kenpark kenjeran.

pottermore.i finally got in! got the welcome email last week and i gotta say it was pretty fun! my favorite part was getting my wand, shopping at diagon alley, and of course, the sorting hat. i was sorted to HUFFLEPUFF house. was pretty disappointed at first, as my first impression of hufflepuff was 'the house who take the leftovers'. i was hoping that i would get in to gryffindor or ravenclaw, that would be something to brag about. but i read the welcome letter and it made me kinda proud to be a puff!
"Our emblem is the badger, an animal that is often underestimated, because it lives quietly until attacked, but which, when provoked, can fight off animals much larger than itself, including wolves."
"Hufflepuffs are trustworthy and loyal. We don’t shoot our mouths off, but cross us at your peril; like our emblem, the badger, we will protect ourselves, our friends and our families against all-comers. Nobody intimidates us."
"We’ve produced the fewest Dark wizards of any house in this school."
"...in more than a thousand years, the Hufflepuff common room and dormitories have never been seen by outsiders. Like badgers, we know exactly how to lie low – and how to defend ourselves."
college.
my school held an education expo from last thursday to saturday. there were a lot of overseas universities, education consultants, etc. i asked around whether these consultants can help me go to a german university and unfortunately none of them can. they only serve in countries like singapore, swiss, malaysia, us, uk, etc. i'm afraid it's gonna be hard if i have to do it all by myself. finding the accomodation and all...plus, i'm also afraid of the language barrier. i've taken german lessons, yes. but it's not like in one year i'm gonna be an expert. other than german...i'm thinking of aussie: monash or uni melbourne (but still...the decision lies in my dad, and i don't think he approve of me going to oz). i also want to go to us but dad thinks that it's too far away.
as for the majors, i'm thinking either pharmacy or food science. i thought about taking majors like fashion business, film studies, or film editing. but the work prospect in indo (and even asia) for those majors ain't that great so i had to drop it. though about chemical engineering for a while, since my dad also took chem eng back in college. but then i found out that it also involves a lot of physics. considering i'm not interested in physics, i decided not to take the major. so the choice narrowed down to pharmacy or food science. i think those two are suitable with my talents and interests, and have a great work prospect since food and pharmaceutical industries never die. people will always need food and medicine. my goal is to work in the lab (yes i'm a lil bit of a nerd in that area) in a pharmaceutical company (there are so many pharmaceutical companies in germany like bayern, boeringer ingerherm) or a food company.
