the last week of my study tour was mostly spent in kaohsiung.
i stayed at the gao yuan university dormitory for 5 nights.
the dorm was alright, except for the fact that the room didn't even have a bed.
we were only given 1 sleeping bag, and a pillow.
and the AC usage were so limited! we were given this card with a balance, and whenever we want to use the AC in our room, we just put the card in the machine and it will reduce the balance.
i discovered about the balance thingy on the 2nd day! and i was super afraid that we won't have enough for 5 days so i always turned off the ac everytime we left the room.

the 2nd day were free time. we could choose to remain in the university, or go around kaohsiung with MRT. my friends and i decided that we want to go around kaohsiung. we were given one fu dao yuan to accompany us, naomi.

we went to this cute little hello kitty store! unfortunately, i didn't buy anything since the stuffs were super expensive. 2000NT for a hk wallet! (that's 600rb rupiahs)

we walked past a high school, and saw 3 students walking out of the school and naomi was like, "do you want to take pictures with them?" so we did!


after that, we got off at the siziwan station to eat fruit ice (i forgot the chinese name, but it has bing in it hahaha)


apparently, people who ate here can write their name on the table and walls.
this is the famous fruit ice! didn't taste really good, though (naomi said that this wasn't the famous one. but the famous one was super crowded we didn't get a table).

the next day was pretty boring. we went to tainan shoufu university in the morning.

then, to the confucius temple...


and the last, to anbing street. it's a famous food street where we can buy various taiwan street snacks.

to pass the time (we didn't have anything to do besides buying foods since that's all they sell), we went to this VOC fort.




day 3 was pretty much our last day out before going to taipei for the grand reunion. first, we stopped by at the air force museum. they didn't allow cameras inside the museum so i was only able to take the pictures outside!


then, we went to this buddhist shrine called fo guang shan. to get to the main shrine, we had to take hundreds of stairs my feet were tingling when we reached the shrine.

the main attraction in fo guang shan was that great big buddha statue on top of the hill.

from fo guang shan, we were given time to explore kaohsiung using MRT again. this time, we went to the hello kitty restaurant, the stationary store in guangnan (which was super duper cheap. i got a hi-tec pen for only 30NT or 9000 rupiahs! spent almost 800 NTs there.

i only wanted to feel the atmosphere of the restaurant, and wasn't really interested in buying the food. so i ended up just buying this oreo ice cream (only 30NT!)







even the toilet was cute.

then we went straight to dream mall, which was pretty far from the hello kitty store.

i bought a playing card and an eraser! wanted to buy something for QQ (she LOVES doraemon) but could't find anything that i think she didn't already have.


the main attraction was the rooftop playground which have this amazing ferris wheel.

this was our last day in kao yuan dorm. we spent the whole day in the university. in the morning, i learned chinese knotting and chinese calligraphy.

in the afternoon and at night, we performed our shows. from BUS B, we did a mini drama and sang 'marry you'. and for the surabaya group, we sang the song 'peng you', and 2 of us performed a traditional dance..
at the end of the night we got really teary eyed because we were about to say goodbye to each other. i was teary eyed, too. hugged each and everyone of my bus b fu dao yuans and asked my bus b friends to sign the photo album.

the next morning, i woke up at 4.30 am. then at 5.30, the bus left for taipei. we reached taipei at about 11 am, and since we have spare time before the grand union, we were allowed to go to ximending once again!
i finally found the toilet restaurant! too bad they were really crowded, i had to wait for 1 hour to get a table so decided not to eat there.





my friends and i ate at the world of curry instead.
after searching for almost 1,5 hours, i finally found sophisca, a chocolate shop that i've been wanting to go to.
they sell all this unique candies (below). i bought a pantyliner marshmallows, hansaplast chocolates, etc.


with my fu dao yuans after maggie left (yeah, maggie left a couple days before because she had some stuffs to deal with at home so she couldn't be with us anymore!)
finally, we headed to danshui for the grand union. met a lot of students from another countries there!

spotted this really cute bule. he came from paris and his name was damien! hahahaa

after the grand union, we were taken to taoyuan hotel. during the journey to the hotel, fu played the tour video and we were all crying looking at the photos! during that last day i stayed up until 5 am. my fu dao yuans gave all of the BUS B students a gift! the photo CD and a keychain with our names in it!
finally, the next day we were headed to surabayaaa! the surabaya group were the last to leave. the others's flight was at 8 am, and ours was at 1 pm. fu was one of the fu dao yuans who took us to the airport. i hugged him and cried :( will really miss him!
